How to Pronounce Flerlage
Just a quick blog post today. I recently posted a question on Twitter, asking for suggestions on a good screen capture tool for creating some tutorial videos (keep your eye out for these as they’ll be coming soon). After seeing this, Matt Francis suggested that my first video include the proper pronunciation of my name. My name is quite difficult to pronounce. In fact, I’ve only ever had a handful of people get it right on their first try, so this is a fairly common question I get. But, instead of a video, I decided to create a visualization. Using pronunciations, in different accents, from www.howtopronounce.com, I created the following. Just click on a language to hear the pronunciation. And even though the voices are computer-generated, the English pronunciation is exactly right.
